Isn't it interesting that when you go into a foreign place that you immediately think of what can go wrong. From the travel to the serving location and even the potential personal safety. We constantly deal with the questions surrounding the concerns of any trip to any place we've determined is unsafe. Personal responsibility of safety is important, but what about the excitement about what can go right on a trip? The insurance of God working through obedient believers is much more comfortable than our own living rooms. We recently got to spend a week in Mexico meeting a physical need, partnering with a local church to minister to a community, and following up on past relationships. There are opportunities all around us to further God's Kingdom, and I'm happy that some of our high school students, Alex Salazar, Peter Serface, Laney Serface, Jordan Rayburn, and Chris Freese took this opportunity to serve and invest in eternal things. Be sure to look for ways to invest in eternal things everyday in your own life...and once in awhile look to partner with the youth ministry you're involved in!
